For his first shore duty rotation, Bob became a drug, alcohol, and weight control counselor for inpatient and outpatient treatment. After 3 years, it was time for sea duty again and Bob who never backs down from a challenge decided to volunteer for the P-3 Flight Engineer program. Bob completed the program at the top of his class and after completing his internship, he became a Flight Engineer and then the squadron NATOPS Instructor Flight Engineer. Now it was time for Bob to start his own business, he started RPC Computers Inc. in Orange Park Florida. After 10 years of a successful business, it was time to live his childhood dream, to work in the health care field.

Bob had a conundrum, what job could he start at 50 years old? After exhaustive research, Bob came up with the answer, he would just ask his wife what to do. It worked, she came up with PTA and Bob started down the road to his true dream job. Kelsey BucknerPT Tech

Kelsey was born and raised in Asheville, North Carolina. She was homeschooled K-12, which allowed her the time to dance competitively, as well as play basketball and travel softball for several years. She attended Southwestern Community College, where she was a member of the National Technical Honor’s Society and the National Society of Leadership and Success. She also led Southwestern’s Sonography club as vice president. She graduated in 2017 with her Associates degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography. Upon graduation, it was difficult to find a job in her degree in this area, as she loves our WNC mountains too much to leave. She began exploring alternative options that had always excited her heart, so she came to us as a PT technician to be taught another form of caring for others. She is now exploring the idea of going back to school, thanks to our clinic!

In her free time, she is a dog mom, a Dollywood fanatic, a middle school girls church leader, a coffee lover, a mountain hiker, and a singer…only in the car. Above all, she is thankful for Specialized Physical Therapy for opening a door filled with kindness and laughter.
